I know we've seen major price increases across the board due to inflation. Yet I've been divorced from the cost of home routers/switches/WAPs/Mesh. Currently I pay Verizon a $10 monthly fee for my CR1000B with 1 - 10GE port auto sensing, 2 - 2.5GE ports auto sensing and Tri-band Wi-Fi 6E. Plus 2 extenders. For the $10 I pay per month, I don't see anything comparable unless I get into the Netgear Orbo at 1499 or the TP-Link at 1299. Please comment if I am wrong. While I am not a fan of renting these units, I am happy that Verizon FIOS ships me new routers/extenders when they upgrade. If you agree that the FIOS routers/extenders are good, I would only need to upgrade my wiring and my switches. In my re-design of my home network, I am planning on a core 8 port switch with a secondary 4 port switch off the core switch. I just need to figure out which 8 port managed switch I'll get the core. Recommendations would be wonderful.

I am looking to upgrade my home network. Currently I have 2 unmanaged switches for GB. My plan is to replace the existing CAT5E with CAT6E first and then replace the 2 switches. Initially I want to go to 2.5GB with the option of 10GB down the road. Is there another 2.5GB/10GB with POE that you would recommend over the D-Link? The prices jump when looking at 2.5GB/10GB. Netgear's MS510TXPP comes in at 449.99, and TP-Link's SG2210XMP-M2 on Ebay is running 701. I'd would greatly appreciate a recommendation. I know that this upgrade is not something that will be a cheap endeavor. Just looking to make the right decisions.

Hi man thanks a bunch for the video. Im getting "free" mesh for my home from my ISP due to issues with our connection but ive heard its not good for gaming and adds a bunch of additional latency. Wondering what your take on it was. I do have a powerline for temp use case since my wireless latency was truly unbearable but id prefer to go back to my original DL/UL soon. Also do you think there is a difference if i shove an ethernet cable from one of the mesh points to my PC by putting the mesh in my room?

I don't know why Microsoft doesn't just put a payment box on the product key page, or ask if you need one on the media and ISO download page. That sure would make things easier for the user who doesn't watch these videos and Microsoft would make whatever they decide isn't fair, the user is done and call it a day. I don't even know what the product key is for the laptop I'm on right now. Thanks for reminding me, I'll get that right now for the future.

I have an Orbi Mesh system with three satellites. My PS5 on wireless is right next to the master and connects to basement. All my devices connect to the furthest satellite , you cannot assign anything. Worst ever. On fiber optics.

This is not true. Anyone claiming they “see a difference” is just seeing normal fluctuations in their connections. Opening ports does absolutely nothing. You can either reach the servers, and they can reach you, or not. There’s no “opening a connection.” Your playstation already has ports open. This *may* assist with NAT types, but nothing else. This is a very common misconception in the gaming world. If anything, this will expose ports to the world and make you appealing to hackers.

Personally, I tend to avoid these types of keyboards. I had a IClever tri fold keyboard with a mousepad, worked well for a while. But eventually opsning the keyboard would not turn it on, dont think it was a charhining issue because it would very rarely connect to my device, but this was like a 1 in 40 chance, I think the opening of the keyboard wears down something inside over time, idk.

Ripp-Off Sites. The only thing that I got was a $50 chard on my credit card - - - - - and no key! These websites are shady business that are cheating unsuspecting customers, and these activation keys are most likely illegal... I traced one of the websites to Hong Kong. Buy at your own risk..
